The Boiling Water Will Cool To About 90°C When Poured Into The Teapot, And Then Cooled To About 80°C When Poured Into The Cold Teapot. To Cool The Water Further, You Can Leave It In The Mouth Of The Slice Longer, Or Pour It Into A Cup And Then Into A Teapot.
Tokoname Yaki Is A Type Of Pottery Traditionally From Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Tokoname Is The Site Of One Of Japan’S Six Ancient Kilns, Which Have Been Producing Pottery Since The 12Th Century.
Today, Tokoname Yaki Is Famous For Its Signature Brick-Red Clay, Called “Shudei”. This Clay Is Widely Used In Tea Sets And Bonsai Pots, And Its Vibrant Color Comes From Its Rich Iron Content. It Is Said That Tea Brewed In An Unglazed Tokoname Teapot Has A Richer Taste.
