This Exquisite Korean Inlaid Celadon Tea Bowl Is Modeled After The Bowls Of The Goryeo Dynasty And Has A Wide Conical Shape. The Gorgeous Celadon Glaze Is Inlaid With A Cloud And Crane Pattern, Which Is Called “Cloud Crane” In Japanese. The Clay Around The Base Of The Bowl Is Carved With Floral Designs.

With The Introduction Of Celadon Production Technology To Korea During The Goryeo Dynasty, Celadon Showed Its Own Unique Style, Which Was Called “Elephant Inlaid Celadon – Inlaid Celadon” In Japan. In Its Heyday In The 12Th Century, Goryeo Celadon Was Famous For Its Revered For Its Jade Color, Elegant Shapes, And Intricate Mosaic Patterns Featuring Cranes, Flowers, And Dragons. With The Decline Of The Goryeo Dynasty, The Quality And Popularity Of Celadon Declined Until It Finally Ceased During The Early Joseon Dynasty Produced. The Style Was Not Revived Until The 20Th Century.
